Nobody thought a PG could have a cool campaign. We disagreed.

Let's be honest. PG marketing is... not great. It's usually a WhatsApp forward with a blurry photo of a room, a price, and "meals included." Or a justcol listing nobody asked for. The category is boring by default — and most brands in it have accepted that fate.

Interlude hadn't.

The Setup

Interlude isn't your average girls' hostel. It's one of Lucknow's best — well-designed, well-run, and genuinely worth talking about. The problem wasn't the product. The problem was timing and noise.

July, August, September. That's when the city fills up with girls moving in for college, coaching, competitive exam prep — the whole circus. Every PG in Lucknow is shouting during this window. Interlude needed to not just show up, but show up differently.

So we built Better Than Home.

The Idea

The premise was simple and a little cheeky: everything you love about home? Interlude does it better. Or at least, differently enough that you won't miss it.

But we weren't going to say that directly. That's the brand talking. Instead, we let the situations do the talking — six scripted reels, each built around a hyper-specific concern that girls (and their parents, let's be real, the actual decision-makers) carry when choosing a hostel.

Every script was written by us. Every concept was engineered to hit a different nerve. Relatable enough to stop the scroll, real enough to build trust, and fun enough that watching it didn't feel like being sold to.

The Execution

Six reels. Six very different entry points into the same conversation.

The one that hits different: "Things that kill your UPSC/NEET prep — your PG is one of them." We took a camera outside a coaching centre and did a vox pop — asked real girls about their PG situations. No script. No filter. Just answers that ranged from mildly chaotic to genuinely concerning. The content wrote itself, and the audience felt it.

That's the thing about this campaign — it wasn't trying to look like marketing. It looked like content. Like something a creator made because they had thoughts. The hostel just happened to be the solution at the end.

Talent was managed in-house. Scripts were written, refined, and shot with actors and creators who could carry the vibe — fun, sharp, and zero percent salesy. Each video was built with a dual purpose: organic storytelling first, paid performance second. Once the content had warmed up an audience, it went into paid campaigns to convert reach into actual leads.

The Result

Maximum reach during peak season. A content bank that built the brand story gradually — not all at once, not in a pushy way. And enough high-converting material to run performance campaigns that brought in real enquiries.

But honestly? The bigger win was this: Better Than Home made PG marketing interesting. That's not a small thing in a category where the bar is a blurry JPEG and a phone number.
